I got a chance to get out and head north out of Roseville on highway 65 this afternoon. After seeing nothing for over an hour, I found a southbound BNSF coil train sitting at the Mounkes siding (between the cities of Marysville and Sheridan). It was waiting for a very short train with three UP units along with a dozen DRGW coal hoppers. After the UP train crawled by, BNSF 4511 along with a Norfolk Southern GE Dash 9 pulled up to the red signal. The crew stopped and chatted with me for a couple minutes until they received a green aspect to continue south. Enjoy this rare mid-week update.
