This Southern Pacific tunnel motor idles on the drill track at Dunsmuir. The small SP lettering on the side was applied in Roseville by some diehard SP employees instread of the standard UP yellow and grey.

A southbound Union Pacific SD60M streaks through the normal crew change spot at the Dunsmuir depot. The crew will turn the train over at the south end of the lower Dunsmuir yard to let a high-piority northbound continue up the Sacramento River canyon.
