One of McCloud Railway's last customers is the Dicalite Corp. located on the Cayton siding southeast of McCloud, CA. Dicalite filed a protest of the pending abandonment of the line but their argument didn't sway the Surface Transportation Board. Since this facility won't be here much longer, I took a drive to Cayton last summer and took some shots of the facility where they load diatomaceous earth into covered hoppers.
