On Sunday, an Alameda, CA based software company chartered an Amtrak special to Mount Shasta for its employees. The vintage passenger cars were pulled by a single GE P42DC (AMTK 67) as train 976. The passenger car list was (front to back): Pony Express, Silver Lariat, Plaza Santa Fe, Silver Rapids and the Silver Solarium. Our chase begins at Castella Creek and continues to Dunsmuir, Mott and finally Mount Shasta. Enjoy the photos!
